The End of a Historical Sequence

This chapter aims to show that a thirty years’ old historical sequence of the post-communist period has come to an end. To do so, it will address the main characterizing factors, using the concept of post-communism. The specificity of the transformation, unequal from one country to another one, was, at first, the role of some former dissidents within the transformation process. This role was influencing memory questions and structuring the political scene and political debates.
