W niniejszej pracy autorka skupia się na przedstawieniu repertuaru dwunastu pieśni przeznaczonych na okres adwentu z kancjonału Kancyonal, to iest Księga Psalmow, Hymnow i pieśni Duchownych, drukowanego przez Andreasa Hünefelda w Gdańsku w 1636 roku. Praca porusza temat śpiewników drukowanych w okresie reformacji i kontrreformacji w Rzeczpospolitej, przedstawiając krótki rys życia muzycznego Gdańska około połowy XVII wieku, zawiera krótki przegląd kancjonałów drukowanych w Polsce do XVII wieku, skupiając uwagę na najważniejszych oficynach wydawniczych i ośrodkach reformacyjnych. Praca nakreśla również sylwetkę gdańskiego drukarza Andreasa Hünefelda oraz przybliża specyfikę zapisu muzycznego w kancjonale, opisując tak zwaną metodę P. Davantesa. In this study, the author focuses on presenting the repertoire of twelve sacred songs intended for the Advent season from the Kancyonal, to iest Księga Psalmow, Hymnow i pieśni Duchownych, printed by Andreas Hünefeld in Gdańsk in 1636. The paper discusses printed songbooks during the Reformation and Counter-Reformation periods in Poland, offering a brief overview of the musical life of Gdańsk around the mid-17th century. It includes a short survey of songbooks printed in Poland up to the 17th century, with particular attention to the most important publishing houses and Reformation centers. The work also outlines the figure of the Gdańsk printer Andreas Hünefeld and explores the specifics of the musical notation used in the hymnal, describing the so-called P. Davantes method. The core of the study is the analysis of twelve songs designated for the Advent period, identifying their melodic sources—contrafacta and arrangements found in earlier repertoire. The study concludes with a critical commentary, a list of corrections, and transcriptions of the songs along with their texts.
