L'Ombre, personification des morts coupables ou celle de la Mort ? L'exemple de Dadabé de Michèle Rakotoson et de L'Aimé d'Axel Gauvin.

Niniejsza praca ma na celu analizę reprezentacji Cienia w opowiadaniu Dadabé Michèle Rakotoson oraz w powieści L’Aimé Axela Gauvina, w powiązaniu z wierzeniami malgaskimi i reuniońskimi. Opierając się na figurach Ambiroa i lolo, praca bada śmiertelny wymiar Cienia, jego przestrzenną obecność oraz rolę przodków. Praca pokazuje, że przodkowie pełnią funkcję ochronną wobec złowrogich bytów i uosabiają formę symbolicznego zwycięstwa nad śmiercią.

The purpose of this BA thesis is to analyze the representations of the Shadow in the short story Dadabé by Michèle Rakotoson and the novel L’Aimé by Axel Gauvin, in connection with Malagasy and Réunionese beliefs. Based on the figures of the Ambiroa and the lolo, this study explores the deadly dimension of the Shadow, its spatial presence, and the role of the ancestors. The thesis demonstrates that the latter fulfill a protective function against malevolent entities and embody a form of symbolic victory over death.

Le présent mémoire vise à analyser les représentations de l’Ombre à travers la nouvelle Dadabé de Michèle Rakotoson et le roman L’Aimé d’Axel Gauvin, en lien avec les croyances malgaches et réunionnaises. En s’appuyant sur les figures de l’Ambiroa et du lolo, ce travail interroge la dimension mortifère de l’Ombre, son inscription spatiale et le rôle des ancêtres. Le mémoire montre que ces derniers jouent une fonction protectrice face aux entités malveillantes et incarnent une forme de victoire symbolique sur la mort.
