Zasadniczą część pracy stanowi badanie empiryczne oparte na metodzie mieszanej, w ramach którego przeprowadzono analizę ilościową i jakościową oficjalnych szwajcarskich materiałów dydaktycznych (m.in.

This thesis is devoted to an analysis of the meaning, understanding, and methods of teaching the concepts of 'tolerance' and 'multiculturalism' in the educational system of the Frenchspeaking part of Switzerland. The theoretical section explores the philosophical and social foundations and limits of tolerance, and characterizes selected models of multicultural societies. The main part of the thesis consists of an empirical study based on a mixedmethods approach, which involved a quantitative and qualitative analysis of official Swiss teaching materials and curriculum guidelines (including Mon carnet citoyen, La laïcité à l'école, and the L'école de l'égalité series). The research findings revealed a clear disparity in the frequency of the analyzed terms depending on the target group, indicating that the conceptual and educational burden has been shifted primarily to the teaching staff. The analysis also demonstrated that the Swiss educational model follows a two-pronged strategy: in the religious context, it is based on neutrality and secularism that foster dialogue, while in the context of gender differences, it redefines tolerance as a 'zero-tolerance' policy toward all manifestations of violence, sexism, and discrimination.
