Najstarsze grecko-arabskie dokumenty papirusowe z Egiptu
Abstrakt (EN)
The following paper presents the results of the research on a particular type of primary sources, which are bilingual documentary papyri. Only 7th-century documents containing Arabic script were taken into consideration. These records are the Greek-Arabic texts pre-served to our times only. None published Coptic-Arabic papyri of that century exist, though there is a few which are slightly later. The aim of the paper is to present various sorts of texts that occur in the bilingual records. These are mainly tax receipts, orders for payment or delivery and protocols. The variety of the documents is limited to the administrative sphere. Besides, original texts are translated and peculiarities of the state of preservation are de-scribed. General conclusions about linguistic and technical aspects are also included. Finally, the historical meaning of the bilingual Greek-Arabic documents is drawn.
