Postać czarownicy w literaturze sowizdrzalskiej

W poniższej pracy przedstawiono elementy wizerunku czarownicy wyłaniającego się z twórczości środowiska tzw. rybałtów. Omówiony został m. in. dotychczasowy stan badań, wpływ kultury ludowej na poszczególne elementy sowizdrzalskich wizji postaci, różnice i zbieżności z wczesnonowożytnym dyskursem chrześcijańskim, problem płci w przedstawieniach czarostwa, kwestie społeczne oraz imaginarium czarów i demonologii twórców plebejskich. Analiza została objęła twórczość Jana z Kijan, Jana Dzwonowskiego, Ianuariusa Sowisraliusa, Adama Władysławiusza oraz utwory całkowicie anonimowe.

This study examines the elements of the witch figure as they emerge from the works of the so-called „rybałci” (plebeian poets/minstrels). It discusses, among other topics, the current state of research, the influence of folk culture on specific aspects of these Polish rogue-style portrayals, points of divergence and convergence with early modern Christian discourse, the role of gender in depictions of witchcraft, social issues, and the imagery of sorcery and demonology found in the works of these plebeian authors. The analysis covers the writings of Jan z Kijan, Jan Dzwonowski, Ianuarius Sowisralius, and Adam Władysławiusz, as well as works of entirely anonymous authorship.
