Językowy i memowy obraz Francji i jej mieszkańców

Praca stanowi próbę rekonstrukcji językowego i memowego obrazu Francji oraz jej mieszkańców. Podstawę materiałową badań stanowi zróżnicowany zbiór danych językowych i multimodalnych – dane słownikowe i korpusowe, wyniki wyszukiwania Google Grafika, memy internetowe oraz wyniki przeprowadzonej ankiety. Badanie wykazało, że Francja w świadomości użytkowników języka polskiego kojarzona jest głównie z elegancją, miłością romantyczną, kulturą, sztuką, kuchnią i modą. Jednocześnie informacje uzyskane z analizy memów wskazują na obecność stereotypów związanych z polityką, migracją oraz sytuacją społeczną we Francji. Zarówno w materiale językowym, jak i w memach występują odwołania do tradycyjnych symboli kulturowych. Badanie potwierdziło trwałość językowego obrazu Francji i jej mieszkańców.

This thesis attempts to reconstruct the linguistic and memetic image of France and its inhabitants. The research material consists of a diverse collection of linguistic and multimodal data, including dictionary and corpus data, Google Images search results, internet memes, and the results of a survey conducted for the purposes of the study. The findings indicate that, in the minds of Polish language users, France is primarily associated with elegance, romantic love, culture, art, cuisine, and fashion. At the same time, the analysis of internet memes reveals the presence of stereotypes related to politics, migration, and the social situation in France. References to traditional cultural symbols appear both in the linguistic material and in the memes. The study confirms the enduring nature of the linguistic image of France and its inhabitants.
