Praca podejmuje próbę połączenia perspektywy socjologii rzeczy i nauk o projektowaniu poprzez analizę roli designu w konstruowaniu fasady osobistej. Wykorzystując teorię dramaturgiczną Ervinga Goffmana, zaprezentowano perspektywę procesu projektowego, zwracając uwagę na sposób, w jaki użytkownicy dobierają przedmioty do komunikowania swojej tożsamości.

This thesis explores the intersection of the sociology of objects and design studies by examining the role of design in the construction of the personal front. Building on Erving Goffman's dramaturgical theory, it introduces the perspective of the design process, focusing on how individuals select objects to communicate their identities. A qualitative study conducted among members of the Millennial generation explored participants' awareness of using design as a tool of nonverbal communication, their perception of their own role in designing the personal front, and the correspondence between the actor's intended self-presentation and the audience's interpretation. The findings indicate that designing the personal front is a conscious process and that design serves an important social role beyond its practical purposes and aesthetic functions.
