Integration of intellectual capital, sustainable development, and Business 5.0
Abstrakt (EN)
In the last decade, concepts such as sustainability, intellectual capital, and innovation have established themselves as immanent and become integral to the most important directions of economies and businesses. The aim behind most of them is not only to foster economic growth or development but also to promote sustainable development and increase the level of innovation, especially in the development of technologies that are environmentally friendly. The purpose of the chapter is to identify organizational management aspects that affect the changes occurring in businesses today. In this paper, the authors aim to demonstrate how building and utilizing intellectual capital can lead to positive changes within an organization. The research aims to bridge the basic theoretical concepts of intellectual capital, sustainability, and Society 5.0 from the perspective of managing them as a whole ecosystem. This chapter aims to develop a conceptual framework by reviewing the literature and presenting selected empirical studies (both our own and those of other researchers). This approach seeks to present the existing concepts or phenomena in a new way by combining them with the phenomena that previously seemed unrelated or incompatible. The key research question relates to whether intellectual capital contributes to the creation of the sustainable development concept and the transformation within organizations toward becoming organizations of the 5.0 era.
