Verbale Aggression : Multidisziplinäre Zugänge zur verletzenden Macht der Sprache
Abstrakt (EN)
The volume presents contributions from various language-related disciplines, which provide a comprehensive theoretical framework and case studies on verbal aggression in its diverse forms of appearance. Linguistic forms of aggression are not so much a shift of physical aggression, but they are aggression acts sui generis, which mainly affect and hit by their strong symbolicity (related to the use and communitive practices) and indexicality (refering force). The volume consists of four main parts: "On the expression of verbal aggression", "Verbal aggression in practice fields", "Hate speech and ideology", "Verbal aggression", in which not only the theoretical pragmalinguistic dimension of verbal aggression acts is discussed, but also the concrete realization of aggressive acts in communicative and discursive practices, their dependence to the media as well as their broad applicative fields (for example, in therapeutic and didactic processes). The book provides expert foundations and perspectives for linguists, psychologists, sociologists, educators, media scientists and journalists who would like to deal with verbal aggression.
