Abstrakt (EN)

Functionality of nouns and verbs in political advertising The article deals with political slogans, which were placed on billboards and advertising spots, that we got from sites dedicated to political advertisement or Parliamentary elections in 2014. It was the time after ‘Euromaidan’ and elections in 2014 were the first after dissolution of The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine 7th convocation. In this article we research categories of the noun and verb, which we found among others (i.e. degrees of comparison of adjectives or forms of numerals and adverbs) the most important in chosen advertisement examples. Exactly nouns and verbs appear more often, and are more visible, than other parts of speech. Choosing right main lexis affects the way the people perceive advertisement at all.
