Excavaciones en la acrópolis de Tiro (2014-2106)

The first excavations in the acropolis of Tyre have revealed the complexity of an area characterized by the monumentality of its Roman and Byzantine structures. The location of a sector near the area studied by Bikai in the 70s has allowed direct access to structures of occupation of the Iron Age, among which an ashlar building of the Persian period and a monumental gate of the 9th-7th centuries BC.
