Wzajemna pomoc humanitarna w stosunkach polsko-japońskich w XX i XXI wieku

Autorka pracy przedstawia dowody na wzajemną pomoc humanitarną w stosunkach polsko-japońskich w XX i XXI, zaczynając od początków myśli humanitarnej w Europie będących skutkiem opublikowanego przez Henry’ego Dunanta Wspomnienia Solferino. Poruszone są także początki tego ruchu w Polsce oraz w Japonii, a także działalności humanitarnej na terenie obu państw. Prezentuje też inne wybrane organizacje humanitarne działające na terenach obu państw. W pracy przytoczona została definicja pomocy humanitarnej oraz definicje humanitaryzmu. Ukazanymi przykładami takiej pomocy jest kwestia polskich jeńców biorących udział w wojnie japońsko-rosyjskiej, historia Dzieci Syberyjskich - ich ewakuacja z Syberii, pobyt w Japonii i losy po powrocie do Polski, historia Dzieci z Kobe, które w 1995 i 1996 r. dzięki inicjatywie Stanisława Filipka trafiły do Polski oraz odpowiedzi na katastrofę wywołaną Wielkim trzęsieniem ziemi we wschodniej Japonii w 2011 r., w tym inicjatywy japonistyki Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego.

The author of the work presents evidence of mutual humanitarian aid in Polish-Japanese relations in the 20th and 21st centuries, starting with the beginnings of humanitarism in Europe resulting from Henry Dunant's A Memory of Solferino. The beginnings of this movement in Poland and Japan are also discussed, as well as humanitarian activities in both countries. She also presents other selected humanitarian organizations operating in both countries. The work cites the definition of humanitarian aid and definitions of humanitarianism. Examples of such aid include the issue of Polish prisoners of war who took part in the Japanese-Russian War, the history of the Siberian Children - their evacuation from Siberia, their stay in Japan and fate after returning to Poland, the history of the Children from Kobe, who in 1995 and 1996, thanks to the initiative of Stanisław Filipek, came to Poland, and the responses to the disaster caused by the Great East Japan Earthquake in 2011, including initiatives of Japanese Studies at the University of Warsaw.
