Współpraca wojskowa pomiędzy Stanami Zjednoczonymi a Izraelem

Poniższa praca przedstawia opis relacji amerykańsko – izraelskiej ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kwestii militarnych. Składa się ona z czterech rozdziałów. Pierwszy z nich dotyczy początków państwa Izrael oraz kulisów powstania tego państwa, a także przedstawia najważniejsze postaci zaangażowane w ten proces. Po-nadto opisuję w nim syjonizm, jego ewolucję oraz ostateczny efekt dążeń do utworzenia samodzielnego państwa żydowskiego. Rozdział drugi opisuje kulisy kryzysu sueskiego. Opisuję w nim tło konfliktu, przyczyny oraz zaangażowanie zarówno strony izraelskiej, jak i amerykańskiej, a także politykę trzech prezydentów Stanów Zjednoczonych: Dwighta Eisenhowera, Johna Fitzgeralda Kennedy’ego oraz Lyndona Johnsona. Trzeci rozdział dotyczy okresu po wojnach: sześciodniowej oraz Jom Kippur. Ponadto ukazuje podejście kolejnych prezydentów do Izraela, takich jak: Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter czy Ronald Reagan. Ostatni rozdział przedstawia realia okresu post zimnowojennego tj. Intifada oraz proces pokojowy z Palestyną, a jego zwieńczeniem są wydarzenia współczesne.

The following work provides a description of U.S.-Israeli relations with a particular focus on military issues. It consists of four chapters. The first deals with the origins of the state of Israel and the behind-the-scenes of its creation, and introduces the key figures involved in the process. In addition, it describes Zionism, its evolution and the ultimate outcome of the drive to create an independent Jewish state. Chapter two describes the background to the Suez crisis. In it, I describe the background of the conflict, the causes and involvement of both the Israeli and American sides, as well as the policies of three US presidents: Dwight Eisenhower, John Fitzgerald Kennedy and Lyndon Johnson. The third chapter deals with the period after the Six-Day and Yom Kippur wars. In addition, it shows the approach of successive presidents to Israel, such as Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter and Ronald Reagan. The last chapter presents the realities of the post-Cold War period, i.e. the Intifada and the peace process with Palestine, and culminates with contemporary events.
