The impact of Belt and Road Initiative on the transformation of China-EU relations

The Belt and Road Initiative is a major strategic concept proposed by China, which aims to promote economic development and regional development of countries along the routes by enhancing infrastructure construction, promoting trade and investment, and enhancing people-to-people exchanges. Therefore, the thesis intends to analyze that for the two important economies of China and Europe, the Belt and Road Initiative is of great strategic importance. The implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative not only provides new opportunities for China-Eu economic cooperation and promotes China-Eu economic cooperation, but also promotes China-Eu connectivity and strengthens exchanges and cooperation between China and Europe. Although the implementation of the Belt and Road has encountered different challenges, such as the COVID-19, the Russia-Ukraine war, and different attitudes of different European countries towards the implementation of the Belt and Road strategy, the implementation of the Belt and Road Initiative will promote the strategic transformation of China and Europe, and promote the upgrading and transformation of the economic structure of the two regions. It has promoted strategic cooperation, mutual benefit and sustainable development between China and the EU.
