Das Nibelungenlied – Wie die mittelalterliche Heldensage in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts zum Nationalmythos des deutschen Volkes wurde

Streszczenie Niniejsza praca ma na celu opisanie procesu, w wyniku którego Pieśń o Nibelungach została przekształcona w niemiecki epos narodowy. W ramach niniejszej pracy omówione zostaną wy-brane opracowania i interpretacje Pieśni o Nibelungach, a także nazwane zostaną poszczególne czynniki, które doprowadzi w pierwszej połowie XIX wieku do wykreowania tego mitu. Wśród nich poruszone zostaną przyczyny historyczne, polityczne, filozoficzne oraz literackie, które wywarły bezpośredni wpływ na popularyzację Pieśni o Nibelungach. Scharakteryzowane zo-stanie również zaangażowanie różnych osób, które bezpośrednio lub pośrednio przyczyniły się do wykreowania wspomnianego mitu narodowego. Wśród nich wymieniono i omówiono na-zwiska braci Schleglów i Friedricha Heinricha von der Hagena, którzy byli głównymi protago-nistami tego procesu. Ze względów praktycznych, a także z powodu ograniczonej wiedzy au-torki, teoretyczne dyskusje na temat autorstwa eposu i jego współczesnych interpretacji czy jakości literackiej zostały w tej pracy pominięte.

Summary This thesis aims to describe the process by which the Song of Nibelungs was turned into a German national epic. In the context of the present work on the adaptation of the Nibelungen material, factors are to be named which led to the creation of this myth in the first half of the 19th century. Among them shall be discussed the historical, political, philosophical, and literary foundations, whose influence played a direct role in the reworking of the saga. The involvement of various people who were either directly or indirectly involved in the creation of the above-mentioned national myth will also be characterised. Among them, the names of brothers Schle-gel and Friedrich Heinrich von der Hagens, who were the main protagonists of this process, are mentioned and discussed. For practical reasons, as well as due to the author's limited knowledge, theoretical discussions about the authorship of the epic and about its contemporary interpretations or literary quality are omitted in this work.

Zusammenfassung Diese Arbeit beabsichtigt die Beschreibung des Prozesses, infolgedessen das Nibelungenlied zum deutschen Nationalepos gemacht wurde. Im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit zur Bearbeitung des Nibelungenstoffes sollen Faktoren genannt werden, die zur Entstehung dieses Mythos in der ersten Hälfte des 19. Jahrhunderts führten. Unter ihnen werden die historischen, politischen, philosophischen und literarischen Grundlagen diskutiert, deren Einfluss die unmittelbare Rolle in der Neubearbeitung der Sage spielte. Charakterisiert wird auch die Beteiligung diverser Personen, die an der Schaffung des oben genannten Natio-nalmythos entweder direkt oder indirekt beteiligt waren. Darunter werden genannt und bespro-chen vor allem die Namen der Gebrüder Schlegel und Friedrich Heinrich von dem Hagen, die Hauptakteure dieses Prozesses waren. Aus praktischen Gründen, als auch aus begrenztem Wis-sen der Autorin, werden in dieser Arbeit die theoretischen Diskussionen über die Autorschaft des Epos und über seine zeitgenössischen Interpretationen oder literarische Qualität ausgelas-sen.
