Czy (i jakie) „widma” kanonu literatury dziecięcej krążą nad Polską?

Starting from Stella Pryce’s observations derived from spectral theory about the “haunting” canon of British children’s literature, the author wonders whether “ghosts” similar to the “phantoms” of Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan also function in Polish cultural consciousness. He argues that works demonstrating a “hauntological potential” are easier to find in Polish young adult literature, provides the few examples of “specters” found in Polish children’s literature, and concludes by reflecting on the reasons for the state of affairs described, emphasizing the need to meet “ghosts” and work this encounter through on the phantasmal level.
