Jej celem jest pokazanie, jak język nie tylko przekazuje informacje, ale także kształtuje sposób postrzegania polityków i ich autorytetu. W części teoretycznej omówiono najważniejsze cechy dyskursu politycznego oraz podstawowe środki perswazji, takie jak metafory, język wartościujący, modalność i powtórzenia. Zwrócono również uwagę na aspekt płci, wskazując, że wybrane elementy stylu mogą pełnić funkcję strategii komunikacyjnych.

Analiza obejmuje cztery przemówienia Thatcher z lat 1976–1981, co pozwala porównać jej sposób mówienia przed i po objęciu funkcji premiera Wielkiej Brytanii. Badanie łączy analizę jakościową z prostymi elementami ilościowymi, takimi jak częstotliwość wybranych form językowych. The theoretical section discusses key features of political discourse and basic persuasive devices, such as metaphors, evaluative language, modality, and repetition. Gender is also emphasized, suggesting that selected elements of style can function as communication strategies.

The analysis covers four of Thatcher's speeches from 1976 to 1981, allowing for a comparison of her speaking style before and after becoming Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. The study combines qualitative analysis with simple quantitative elements, such as the frequency of selected linguistic forms. The results show that her style does not change dramatically but gradually evolves with her political role. In earlier speeches, prescriptive forms appear more frequently, while in later ones, the emphasis on agency and control increases.

Thatcher consistently uses metaphors and evaluative language, which reinforce her image and authority. The sentence structure remains similar, although combining short, powerful statements with longer explanatory passages plays a significant role. Ultimately, it can be said that her style does not undergo radical change but gradually adapts to her political role and responsibilities.
