Artykuł dotyczy utworu Agnieszki Suchowierskiej Mat i świat, który zostaje ujęty jako tekst literatury antropologicznie wrażliwej. Abstrakt w j. angielskim: The paper discusses Agnieszka Suchowierska’s Mat and the World, recognizing it as a text of anthropologically sensitive literature. The author of the article presents different images of childhood shown in the story about the teddy bear, indicatin that they are far from Western ideas of what childhood should be. Therefore, Suchowierska’s socially engaged work is a part of Polish contemporary children’s literature’s trend, which is that the authors show in their texts images of childhood contrasting with the construction of this stage of life as a “marvelous land” – a one which is safe, full of adventures and fun, and far from adulthood.
