Introduction: social and affective factors in multilingualism research

Editorial. Over the past few years multilingualism research has been increasingly focusing on how social and affective factors influence language learning patterns in children and adults. This special issue is devoted to some recent research in the field and its objective is to highlight current trends and interests among scholars working on multilingualism and language learning.
