Nitrozwiązki aromatyczne - charakterystyka i metody biodegradacji
Abstrakt (EN)
Nitroaromatic compounds are present in the environment mainly as a product of an industry. They pose serious risk on our health (often exhibiting strong mutagenic and carcinogenic effect) as well as on environment. Most of the nitroaromatic compounds are stabile due to considerable resistance to degradation and they persist in the environment for a long time. In this review, we presented current state of knowledge concerning biodegradation of this group of compounds. In the first part we presented general information concerning proprieties, synthesis and sources of nitroaromatics as well as pathways of microbial aerobical or anaerobical degradation. What’s interesting, in some cases microorganisms have evolved several pathways of degradation specific nitrocompound, for instance nitrobenzene, what was described in detail. In the second part we focused on bioremediation of nitrocompunds from environment.
