Zur Ökokritik und zum Verhältnis von Mensch und Natur in Die Krone der Schöpfung von Lola Randl

Celem przedłożonej pracy było ukazanie, że człowiek w powieści Die Krone der Schöpfung autorstwa Loli Randl nie jest przedstawiony jako faktyczna „korona stworzenia”, lecz jako istota wrażliwa, zależna i związana z procesami naturalnymi, biologicznymi oraz społecznymi. W niniejszej pracy magisterskiej zbadano, w jaki sposób pandemia koronawirusa ukazana w powieści uwidacznia granice ludzkiej kontroli. Głównym przedmiotem analizy są relacje między człowiekiem a naturą, mechanizmy samoregulacji ekologicznej, rola technologii w rozprzestrzenianiu się wirusa, a także zmiana postrzegania miasta i wsi w czasie kryzysu. Analiza pokazuje również, że Randl krytycznie podważa antropocentryczny światopogląd.

The aim of this thesis was to demonstrate that, in Lola Randl’s novel Die Krone der Schöpfung, humans are not portrayed as the actual “crown of creation,” but rather as vulnerable beings who are dependent on and interconnected with natural, biological, and social processes. This master’s thesis examines how the coronavirus pandemic depicted in the novel highlights the limits of human control. The main focus of the analysis is on the relationship between humans and nature, mechanisms of ecological self-regulation, the role of technology in the spread of the virus, and the changing perception of the city and the countryside during the crisis. The study also shows that Randl critically questions the anthropocentric worldview.

Ziel der vorliegenden Arbeit war es aufzuzeigen, dass der Mensch in dem Roman Die Krone der Schöpfung von Lola Randl nicht als die „Krone der Schöpfung“ dargestellt wird, sondern als verletzliches Wesen, das von natürlichen, biologischen und sozialen Prozessen abhängig ist und mit ihnen verbunden ist. In der Masterarbeit wurde untersucht, wie die im Roman dargestellte Coronavirus-Pandemie die Grenzen menschlicher Kontrolle aufzeigt. Im Mittelpunkt der Analyse stehen die Beziehungen zwischen Mensch und Natur, die Mechanismen der ökologischen Selbstregulierung, die Rolle der Technologie bei der Ausbreitung des Virus und der Wandel der Wahrnehmung von Stadt und Land während der Krise. Die Analyse zeigt zudem, dass Randl die anthropozentrische Weltanschauung kritisch hinterfragt.
