La narración y la construcción de la memoria en Las voces del Pamano de Jaume Cabré

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza pamięci społecznej i narracji w powieści Jaume Cabré Głosy Pamano (2004). Jak sugeruje tytuł powieści, istnieje szereg perspektyw, za pośrednictwem których narracja sięga w przeszłość. Jest to bezpośrednio związane z pamięcią, zarówno każdej jednostki, jak i całej wioski, w której rozgrywa się akcja. Do analizy narracji wykorzystano teorię Gérarda Genette'a. Badanie to ma również na celu ustalenie, w jaki sposób hegemoniczny dyskurs epoki Franco wchodził w interakcję z indywidualnymi wspomnieniami dysydentów reżimu i jak te wspomnienia kontynuowały walkę z siłami nacjonalistycznymi po zakończeniu wojny. W tym celu zwrócimy się do pracy Michaela Pollaka i jego koncepcji pamięci oficjalnej. Do konstruowania pamięci społecznej jest stosowana teoria francuskiego socjologa Maurice'a Halbwachsa. Jego prace Les Cadres sociaux de la mémoire i La Mémoire collective stanowią podstawę tej analizy. Przez pryzmat tej teorii analizujemy Głosy Pamano, koncentrując się na różnych aspektach pamięci społecznej wymienionych przez Halbwachsa i pojawiających się w powieści katalońskiego pisarza.

The purpose of this study is to analyze social memory and narrative in Jaume Cabré's novel The voices of Pamano (2004). As the title of the novel suggests, there are a number of perspectives through which the narrative reaches into the past. This is directly related to memory, both of each individual and of the entire village in which the action takes place. Gérard Genette's theory was used to analyze the narrative. This study also seeks to determine how the hegemonic discourse of the Franco era interacted with the individual memories of the regime's dissidents, and how these memories continued the struggle against nationalist forces after the war ended. For this we will turn to the work of Michael Pollak and his concept of official memory. The theory of French sociologist Maurice Halbwachs is used to construct social memory. His works Les Cadres sociaux de la mémoire and La Mémoire collective form the basis of this analysis. We analyze The voices of Pamano through the lens of this theory, focusing on the various aspects of social memory mentioned by Halbwachs and appearing in the Catalan writer's novel.

El propósito de esta tesis es analizar la memoria social y la narración en la novela de Jaume Cabré Las voces del Pamano (2004). Como sugiere el título de la novela, hay una serie de perspectivas a través de las cuales la narración se adentra en el pasado. Esto está directamente relacionado con la memoria, tanto de cada individuo como de todo el pueblo en el que se desarrolla la acción. Para analizar la narración se ha utilizado la teoría de Gérard Genette. Este estudio también pretende establecer cómo el discurso hegemónico del franquismo interactuó con las memorias individuales de los disidentes del régimen y cómo estas memorias siguieron luchando contra las fuerzas nacionalistas tras el final de la guerra. Para ello recurriremos a la obra de Michael Pollak y su concepto de memoria oficial. La teoría del sociólogo francés Maurice Halbwachs se aplica a la construcción de la memoria social. Sus obras Les Cadres sociaux de la mémoire y La Mémoire collective constituyen la base de este análisis. Analizamos Las voces de Pamano a través del prisma de esta teoría, centrándonos en los diferentes aspectos de la memoria social mencionados por Halbwachs y que aparecen en la novela del escritor catalán.
