Eine kontrastive Analyse des polnischen und deutschen Dubbing des Walt-Disney-Films „Inside out“

Niniejsza praca dyplomowa dotyczy tematu, który staje się coraz ważniejszy w badaniach nad tłumaczeniami, a mianowicie dubbingu filmów. Szczegółowo opisano zarówno teoretyczne, jak i praktyczne aspekty tego typu tłumaczeń. Część teoretyczna pracy ma na celu przedstawienie krótkiego przeglądu dziedziny dubbingu i zilustrowanie, jak ważny jest on dla filmów, zwłaszcza animowanych. Ponadto omówiono niektóre techniki i strategie dubbingowe, co miało szczególne znaczenie w odniesieniu do późniejszej analizy. Część analityczna pozwala znaleźć odpowiedzi na postawione wcześniej pytania. Dzięki analizie opartej na wybranych przykładach możliwe jest ustalenie jakie różnic i podobieństw występujących pomiędzy tekstem w filmie „Inside Out“ a polską i niemiecką wersją dubbingową oraz jakie możliwe przyczyny za tym stoją, w jakim stopniu materiał anglojęzyczny został zmieniony na potrzeby polskiej i niemieckiej grupy docelowej i czy w związku z tym oryginalny przekaz językowy został zmieniony, a także czy sukces filmu wśród polskiej i niemieckiej publiczności jest faktycznie w dużej mierze zasługą dubbingu, czy też wynika on również z innych elementów filmu.

This thesis deals with a topic that is becoming increasingly important in translation studies, namely film dubbing. Both theoretical and practical aspects of this type of translation are described in detail. The theoretical part of the work aims to provide a brief overview of the field of dubbing and illustrate how important it is for films, especially animated films. In addition, some dubbing techniques and strategies are discussed, which is particularly relevant to the subsequent analysis. The analysis part allows finding answers to the questions posed earlier. Through an analysis based on selected examples, it is possible to determine what differences and similarities exist between the text in the film „Inside Out“ and the Polish and German dubbed versions and the possible reasons behind them, to what extent the English-language material has been altered for the needs of the Polish and German target audiences and whether the original language message has been altered as a result, and whether the film's success among Polish and German audiences is actually largely due to dubbing or whether it is also due to other elements of the film.

Die vorliegende Diplomarbeit beschäftigt sich mit einem Thema, das zunehmend in der Translationswissenschaft an Bedeutung gewinnt, und zwar mit dem Dubbing von Filmen. Dabei sind sowohl theoretische als auch praktische Aspekte dieser Übersetzungsart genau beschrieben. Der theoretische Teil der Arbeit soll hierbei einen kurzen Überblick betreffend des Fachgebiets Synchronisation präsentieren und verdeutlichen, wie wichtig sie für Filme und vor allem Animationsfilme ist. Des Weiteren sind bestimmte Techniken und Strategien beim Dubbing erörtert. Diese erwiesen sich als hilfreich für die spätere Analyse. Der praktische Teil ermöglicht es, Antworten auf die im Vorfeld gestellten Fragen zu finden. Dank der Analyse anhand ausgewählter Beispiele kann festgestellt werden welche Unterschiede und Ähnlichkeiten zwischen dem Text in „Inside Out“ und der polnischen und deutschen Synchronfassung existieren und welche möglichen Ursachen dem zugrunde liegen, in welchem Ausmaß das englische Sprachmaterial für das polnische und deutsche Zielpublikum verändert wurde und ob dadurch die ursprüngliche sprachliche Botschaft verändert wurde und ob der Erfolg des Films bei dem polnischen und deutschen Publikum tatsächlich größtenteils auf das Dubbing zurückzuführen ist oder dies noch an anderen Filmelementen liegt.
