Tożsamość mieszkańców poniemieckich Mazur - interpretacja wspomnień pokolenia osadników

Praca została poświęcona analizie tożsamości mieszkańców poniemieckich Mazur po II wojnie światowej. Jej celem jest zrozumienie, jak doświadczenie przesiedleń, „repatriacji” i przymusowych migracji wpływało na konstytuowanie nowych form tożsamości oraz jakie znaczenie miały w tym pamięć i narracja. Mazury stały się regionem wewnętrznego pogranicza i tyglem kulturowym, w ramach którego wykorzenienie, czyli utrata „małej ojczyzny” i ciągłości życia, stało się wydarzeniem fundacyjnym biografii moich rozmówców. Badania terenowe oparte na wywiadach biograficznych i narracyjnych ujawniły powtarzalny schemat wspomnień oraz klasyczne elementy opowieści tworzące nowe ramy tożsamości i umożliwiające „zakorzenienie”. Analiza pokazała, że tożsamość osób przesiedlonych na tych ziemiach nabrała nowej jakości, a Mazury stały się laboratorium tożsamości łączącym traumę, pamięć i wspólnotowe oswajanie przestrzeni.

The thesis was dedicated to the analysis of the identity of the inhabitants of the post-German Masuria after the Second World War. Its goal is to understand how the experience of displacements, repatriation and forced migrations influenced the constitution of new forms of identity, as well as the role of memory and narration in this process. Masuria became a region of an internal frontier and a cultural melting pot, in which uprooting, understood as the loss of the small homeland and the continuity of life, became a founding event in the biographies of my interlocutors. Field research based on biographical and narrative interviews revealed a recurring pattern of memories and classical elements of storytelling that can create new frameworks of identity and enable rootedness. The analysis showed that the identity of people resettled in these lands gained a new quality, and Masuria became a laboratory of identity combining trauma, memory, and the communal domestication of space.
