Wojna handlowa między Chińską Republiką Ludową a Stanami Zjednoczonymi w latach 2018-2020

Niniejsza praca stanowi analizę i syntezę materiału na temat wojny handlowej między Chińską Republiką Ludową a Stanami Zjednoczonymi w latach 2018–2020. Przedstawiono kluczowe wydarzenia prowadzące do wzrostu znaczenia Chin na arenie międzynarodowej, w tym akcesję Chińskiej Republiki Ludowej do Światowej Organizacji Handlu oraz narastające napięcia na linii Pekin–Waszyngton na przykładzie autorskiego badania ilościowej analizy korpusowej. Omówiono również kwestie sporne będące bezpośrednimi przyczynami wybuchu wojny handlowej w latach 2018–2020, a także chronologię wydarzeń związanych z nakładaniem ograniczeń celnych i rywalizacją technologiczną ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem kazusu firmy Huawei oraz aresztowania wiceprezes Huawei, Meng Wanzhou. Ponadto przeanalizowano podpisane w styczniu 2020 r. Porozumienie Pierwszej Fazy w perspektywie stabilizacji relacji dwustronnych oraz skutki wojny handlowej dla Chińskiej Republiki Ludowej przez pryzmat czynników ekonomicznych i technologicznych związanych z zagadnieniem decouplingu (rozdzielenia) i dążeniem chińskich władz do osiągnięcia niezależności technologicznej.

This dissertation provides an analysis and synthesis of material concerning the trade war between the People's Republic of China and the United States in the years 2018–2020. It presents the key events that contributed to China's growing importance in international affairs, including the accession of the People's Republic of China to the World Trade Organization and the escalating tensions between Beijing and Washington, examined through the author's quantitative corpus analysis. The paper also discusses the contentious issues that directly triggered the outbreak of the 2018–2020 trade war, as well as the chronology of events related to the imposition of tariffs and technological competition, with particular emphasis on the Huawei case and the arrest of Huawei's Chief Financial Officer, Meng Wanzhou. Furthermore, the thesis analyzes the Phase One Agreement signed in January 2020 from the perspective of stabilizing bilateral relations and examines the consequences of the trade war for the People's Republic of China through the prism of economic and technological factors related to the concept of decoupling and the efforts of the Chinese authorities to achieve technological self-sufficiency.
