System rozszerzonej rzeczywistości do filmowania dronem. Badanie heurystyczne i perspektywy badawcze
Abstrakt (EN)
In the years 2017 and 2018 many operators of television information stations in Poland acquired the rights to fly drones within sight (Visual Line Of Sight; VLOS – visual flight of a drone compliant with, among others, Polish drone operator certificate). Using a drone for filming has become a popular method of acquiring photographs for television channels and information services. The authors of the article are testing the Epson Moverio system, which is a system using augmented reality glasses for the purpose of their suitability for television and film camera operators. The key criterion of augmented reality used by the authors applies to image (and sound) projection within perception borders of the drone operator with particular emphasis on sight controllability and stereoscopic visualizations. The presented test results are to lead to creating optimum and effective extended interface for a television drone operator. One of the goals of the presented study was to recognize the possibilities of augmented reality glasses available on the market, which are currently rarely used by TV drones operators. The study results are a contribution for further research that is likely to influence and improve the augmented reality systems created to meet the needs of news broadcasting operators. The article is composed of the three parts: the first describes the extend of usage and application of drones and VR/AR glasses in the Polish television market; the second constitutes the research that contains identification of problems resulting from joining the drone technology with AR solutions, and the third describes the conclusions and points to future research areas.
