The labour market in Germany is currently in a good condition, which validated by different measures, both domestic and international. German employers have been reporting the problem of labour shortages for years, and the process is deepening. The COVID-19 pandemic did not hamper the demand for em-ployees. The German government, elected last year, has announced the reform of the labour market, which, inter alia, is to introduce changes to unemployment benefits. The aim of the paper is to elaborate on the announced changes in regulations concerning labour market policy in Germany.
