W pierwszej części teoretycznej zdefiniowano pojęcie influencera oraz przeanalizowano genezę patoinfluencingu, wywodząc go m.in. z programów typu reality show oraz tradycyjnego streamingu. NASK, FDDS, UKE, Inspiring Girls Polska). Wnioski końcowe podkreślają, że patoinfluencing stanowi poważne zagrożenie dla dobrostanu psychicznego i moralnego młodego pokolenia. W obliczu bezradności nieprzygotowanych systemów i liberalnej polityki platform streamingowych, ochrona dzieci wymaga pilnych, skoordynowanych działań obejmujących zaostrzenie egzekwowania prawa, zaangażowanie rodziców oraz rozwój edukacji medialnej nastawionej na krytyczną analizę treści.

The master's thesis entitled Patoinfluencers in Social Media: An Analysis of the Phenomenon and Its Impact on Youth Social Behavior provides a criminological and socio-cultural perspective on one of the most destructive trends in the contemporary digital space. The main objective of the thesis is to present the mechanisms behind the emergence and the scale of the impact of patoinfluencing and patostreaming on the youngest internet users.
The first, theoretical part defines the concept of an influencer and analyzes the genesis of patoinfluencing, tracing its origins back to reality TV shows and traditional streaming, among other sources. It identifies the main categories of harmful content and characterizes the profiles of patoinfluencers, dividing them into patostreamers, creators of freak fight galas, promoters of illegal online gambling, and individuals associated with grooming and sexual crime.
The subsequent part of the thesis focuses on the social media environment as well as the technological and psychological mechanisms that foster the development of pathologies. The impact of harmful content on youth is explained using Albert Bandura's social learning theory, Edwin Sutherland's differential association theory, and Robert K. Merton's concept of anomie. It points out that long-term exposure to violence and vulgarity leads to the normalization of deviant behavior and desensitization. The legal framework for combating this phenomenon under Polish criminal and civil law is also analyzed.
The analytical part of the thesis is based on a case study of the evolution of content created by several popular figures of the Polish internet—Daniel Zwierzyński (Daniel Magical) and Robert Pasut—as well as on institutional research (including NASK, FDDS, UKE, and Inspiring Girls Polska).
The final conclusions emphasize that patoinfluencing poses a serious threat to the psychological and moral well-being of the younger generation. Faced with the helplessness of unprepared systems and the liberal policies of streaming platforms, the protection of children requires urgent, coordinated actions, including stricter law enforcement, parental involvement, and the development of media education focused on critical content analysis.
