Abstrakt (EN)
On the basis of a few de;nitions of communicative-language com petence and intercultural competence, the concept of the integrated compe tences development (ICD) has been established and implemented as a research tool to analyse Italian syllabi used at given Polish universities. Te study assumes that such development includes four main areas of competency: (!) linguistic, (%) sociocultural, (*) organisational, and (') personal. Linguistic competences refer to language building blocks, i.e., vocabulary, grammar, phonetic aspects; the sociocultural competence, to language variability, non-verbal codes, and intercultural aspects; the organisational one, to pragmatic functions, text genres, and discourse styles; and personal competences, on the one hand, to learning/communication strategies, and on the other, to attitudes and personality factors needed in the communication in a target language. Te article presents the ;ndings of the case study on Italian courses’ syllabi in terms of integrated competences development within the Polish-language higher-education system. Te corpus consists of !&& syllabi collected from the !& biggest Polish universities. Teir content has been analysed in order to identify the competence areas that are most emphasised in the teaching programme.
