Postmodernizm a powieść detektywistyczna: Nokturn indyjski Antonia Tabucchiego i Trylogia nowojorska Paula Austera. Analiza porównawcza

Niniejsza praca dyplomowa stanowi analizę porównawczą dwóch powieści: Nokturnu indyjskiego Antonia Tabucchiego oraz Trylogii nowojorskiej Paula Austera. Koncentruje się na postmodernistycznych cechach obu tekstów i wpisanych w ich formę, tematykę i treść odniesieniach do gatunku powieści detektywistycznej. Badanie skupia się na tym, jak obaj autorzy reinterpretują i odchodzą od klasycznych schematów kryminału, jednocześnie wykorzystując je do eksploracji zagadnień tożsamości, ontologicznej niepewności oraz roli języka. W oparciu o literaturę przedmiotu i metodologię komparatystyczną przeprowadzona została analiza, której celem jest wykazanie podobieństw i różnic w manifestacjach zapożyczeń z gatunku powieści detektywistycznej, jak i poddania ewaluacji funkcjonalności tych zapożyczeń w obrębie obu utworów.

This thesis is a comparative study of two novels: Antonio Tabucchi’s Indian Nocturne and Paul Auster’s The New York Trilogy. It focuses on the postmodern features of both texts and the references to the detective novel genre inherent in their form, subject matter and content. The study focuses on how both authors reinterpret and depart from the classic patterns of detective fiction, while using them to explore issues of identity, ontological uncertainty and the role of language. Based on the literature and comparative methodology, an analysis is carried out with the aim of demonstrating similarities and differences in the manifestations of borrowings from the detective fiction, as well as evaluating the functionality of these borrowings within both works.
