Elements of Christian and Buddhist Spirituality in the Poetry of Jack Kerouac

Esej ten opisuje stosunek Jacka Kerouaca do religii Chrześcijańskiej oraz do szeroko pojętego Buddyzmu w kontekście poezji autorstwa samego Kerouaca. This essay describes Jack Kerouac's attitude towards the religion of Catholics and towards the spiritual movement of Buddhism in the context of Kerouac's poetry. The author of the essay tries to describe elements of both of religious movements, that can be found in poems of famous Beatnik writer. The figure of Jesus Christ and the figure of Buddha can be examples of such elements. The author of this essay also introduces the reader to basic aspects of spiritual movements of Buddhists and Hindus.
