La polémica en torno al feminismo (mágico) de Isabel Allende a partir de la novela La casa de los espíritus

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza cech feministycznych powieści autorstwa współczesnej chilijskiej pisarki Isabel Allende „Dom duchów” w oparciu o opinie badaczek literatury. Promowana jako progresywna, powieść budzi niemałe kontrowersje w świecie krytyki literackiej. Poniższa praca skupia się na analizie różnych feministycznych aspektów tej powieści, prezentując zarówno pozytywne, jak i kontrowersyjne punkty widzenia przedstawiane przez badaczki literatury, które przeprowadzają interpretację elementów tego dzieła jako feministycznych albo antyfeministycznych. W pracy wykorzystywane są cytaty i opinie krytyczek literatury oraz poddane analizie będą różne fragmenty powieści. Będziemy próbować zrozumieć, jakie aspekty feministyczne są obecne w tekście i jakie wyzwania i polemiki wywołuje to dzieło w dziedzinie badań literackich.

The aim of this paper is to analyse the feminist features of the novel by contemporary Chilean writer Isabel Allende's 'House of the Spirits', based on the opinions of female scholars of literature. Promoted as progressive, the novel has caused considerable controversy in the world of of literary criticism. The following paper focuses on analysing the various feminist aspects of this novel, presenting both positive and controversial points of view presented by literary scholars who interpret elements of this work as either feminist or anti-feminist. The work makes use of quotations and opinions of female literary critics and various passages from the novel will be analysed. We will try to understand what feminist aspects are present in the text and what challenges and polemics this work provokes in the field of literary studies.

El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar los rasgos feministas de la novela de la escritora chilena contemporánea Isabel Allende La casa de los espíritus, a partir de las opiniones de estudiosas de la literatura. Promocionada como progresista, la novela ha causado una considerable controversia en el mundo de la crítica literaria. La siguiente tesis se centra en el análisis de los diversos aspectos feministas de esta novela. La obra, presentando puntos de vista tanto positivos como controvertidos mencionados por estudiosas de la literatura que interpretan elementos de esta obra como feministas o antifeministas. En este trabajo se hace uso de citas y opiniones de críticas literarias y se analizarán diversos pasajes de la novela. Se intentará comprender qué aspectos feministas están presentes en el texto y qué desafíos y polémica suscita esta obra en el ámbito de los estudios literarios.
