Sceny z biografii. Autobiografizm i motywy autobiograficzne w powieści Zabiłam ptaka w locie Agnieszki Osieckiej

Celem pracy jest analiza motywów autobiograficznych obecnych w powieści Zabiłam ptaka w locie Agnieszki Osieckiej oraz próba odpowiedzi na pytanie, w jaki sposób autorka funkcjonalizuje swoje doświadczenia życiowe w dziele literackim. Praca składa się z trzech głównych rozdziałów. Pierwszy z nich omawia wybrane ujęcia teoretyczne dotyczące zagadnienia autobiografii oraz autobiografizmu w literaturze, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem definicji, kryteriów oraz sposobów interpretacji tego zjawiska. Druga część pracy koncentruje się na życiu autorki i jej twórczości artystycznej, wskazując na istotne dla tytułowej powieści elementy biografii. Trzeci rozdział poświęcony jest analizie tekstu Zabiłam ptaka w locie. Omówione zostają: miejsce utworu na tle pozostałej twórczości Osieckiej, podstawowe kategorie, takie jak czas, miejsce, narracja, a także symboliczne znaczenie figury tytułowego ptaka. W ostatniej części pracy przedstawione zostały motywy autobiograficzne, które można zauważyć w powieści.

The purpose of this work is to analyze autobiographical motives present in the novel Zabiłam ptaka w locie by Agnieszka Osiecka and an attempt to answer the question of how the author functions her life experiences in a literary work. The work consists of three main chapters. The first one discusses selected theoretical approaches to the issue of autobiography and autobiographical elements in literature, with a particular focus on definitions, criteria, and methods of interpretation of this phenomenon. The second part of the work focuses on the author’s life and her artistic work, pointing out the biographical elements that are significant for the title novel. The third chapter is dedicated to the analysis of the text Zabiłam ptaka w locie. The following are discussed: the place of the work in the context of Osiecka’s other works, basic categories such as time, place, narrative, as well as the symbolic meaning of the figure of the titular bird. The final part of the paper presents autobiographical motifs that can be observed in the novel.
