The integration of rhetoric into the curricula of the Faculty of Polish Studies at the University of Warsaw

"This chapter shows a path that has been followed in order for rhetoric to find its place in the curricula of the Faculty of Polish Studies. Although we present the topic generally in a diachronic approach, we also tried to summarize experiences and indicate the most important achievements. We present rhetoric on the borders of three partly overlapping fields: literary studies, media studies and translation studies. We also describe a variety of didactic practices and academic initiatives undertaken in the last 30 years by the Department of Rhetoric and Media in cooperation with various Polish and foreign partners. Our aim is to share experiences and ideas and also possibly to find new partners for cooperation in future projects."
