Motywy partycypacji konwertytek w organizacjach terrorystycznych

Niniejsza praca dyplomowa ukazuje istotne w kontekście bezpieczeństwa europejskiego zagadnienie, jakim są motywacje partycypacji konwertytek w działaniach organizacji terrorystycznych. Nadrzędnym celem jest analiza uwarunkowań osobowych skłaniających kobiety urodzone i wychowane w kulturze europejskiej do włączenia się w działania terrorystyczne, na przykładzie konwertytek: Samanthy Lewthwaite oraz Muriel Degauque. Praca koncentruje się na próbie dostrzeżenia oraz zdefiniowania motywacji, którymi się kierowały, podejmując decyzję o zaangażowaniu się w działalność o tej specyfice. W pracy została również podjęta próba zdefiniowania złożonego pojęcia współczesnego terroryzmu, uwzględniając genezę przedmiotowego pojęcia oraz jego konkretne definicje. W dalszej części pracy, ukazana została historia uczestnictwa kobiet w strukturach terrorystycznych oraz istota procesu radykalizacji konwertytów w Europie. Przedstawiono również kluczowe dla tematyki pracy zjawisko konwersji – ukazano jego przyczyny, motywacje oraz dynamikę w Europie.

This thesis reveals an important issue in the context of European security, which is the motivations for the participation of female converts in the activities of terrorist organizations. The overarching goal is to analyze the personal conditions prompting women born and raised in European culture to join terrorist activities, using the example of female converts Samantha Lewthwaite and Muriel Degauque. The work focuses on an attempt to see and define the motivations that guided them in their decision to engage in activities of this nature. The thesis also attempts to define the complex concept of modern terrorism, taking into account the genesis of the concept in question and its specific definitions. In the further part of the work, the history of women's participation in terrorist structures and the essence of the process of radicalization of converts in Europe are shown. The phenomenon of conversion, which is key to the subject of the work, is also presented - its causes, motivations and dynamics in Europe are shown.
