China's role in the field of international environmental protection

This study investigates China's increasing influence in worldwide environmental collaboration, examining its shift from a significant contributor to environmental issues to a crucial participant in global initiatives aimed at tackling them, and to comprehend the reasons for China's environmental strategies and its role of global environmental protection in international level.

As China is facing both domestic environmental issues and international criticism, it has started to put environmental protection as its national priorities. Besides, China's involvement in environmental pacts like the Kyoto Protocol and the Paris Agreement has displayed gradually increasing dedication to addressing climate change at an international level. Linking these actions to larger economic and geopolitical objectives, China tries to address internal issues like public health issues and economic stress, as well as external problems such as global standing and strategic alignment from the aspects including social stability, political interests and future discourse in international society.
