Freedom of expression in Thailand after 2014 coup.

Since the 2014 coup, the restriction of freedom of expression has been one of the most discussed issues affecting human rights. The rapid increase in the prosecution of democracy activists, who are deemed a political threat by the government, highlights the ongoing debate about the extent to which freedom of expression is restricted. The deprivation of this fundamental right violates essential human rights principles. This thesis explores the impact of restrictions on freedom of expression on Thai democracy following the 2014 military coup, which marked a pivotal moment in Thailand's political history.
