La pensée Existentialiste dans les romans français et francophones contemporains (1980-2020)

Tematem pracy jest zagadnienie obecności XX-wiecznej myśli egzystencjalistycznej we współczesnej francuskiej i francuskojęzycznej prozie narracyjnej. Praca poświęcona jest analizie powieści sześciorga autorów: Isabelle Alonso, Niny Bouraoui, Kamela Daouda, Yannicka Haenela, Michela Houellebecqa oraz Lydie Salvayre. Ich dzieła obfitują w refleksje na tematy m.in. wolności, wyboru, niepokoju, odpowiedzialności, absurdu i buntu. Wymienione zagadnienia znajdowały się w sercu rozważań i twórczości egzystencjalistów (mowa w szczególności o J.-P. Sartrze, S. de Beauvoir i A. Camusie). Pomimo licznych zmian w sferze polityczno-społecznej oraz rozwoju nowych tendencji oraz metodologii badawczych, ich myśli i postulaty pozostają wciąż żywotne w dzisiejszych czasach. Celem rozprawy jest analiza wybranych powieści współczesnych autorów pod kątem występujących w nich tematów i wątków egzystencjalistycznych, wskazująca na żywotność egzystencjalizmu.

The thesis is devoted to the presence of 20th-century existentialist thought in contemporary French and francophone narrative prose. The work analyses the novels of six authors: Isabelle Alonso, Nina Bouraoui, Kamel Daoud, Yannick Haenel, Michel Houellebecq and Lydie Salvayre. Their works abound with reflections on themes including freedom, choice, anxiety, responsibility, absurdity and revolt. These questions were at the heart of the reflections and works of the existentialists (in particular J.-P. Sartre, S. de Beauvoir and A. Camus). Despite the numerous changes in the political and social spheres and the development of new trends and research methodologies, their thoughts and postulates remain vital today. The aim of this dissertation is an analysis of selected novels by contemporary authors in terms of the existentialist themes and motifs present in them, indicating the vitality of existentialism.

La thèse porte sur la question de la présence de la pensée existentialiste du XXe siècle dans la prose narrative contemporaine française et francophone. Nous y analysons les romans de six auteurs : Isabelle Alonso, Nina Bouraoui, Kamel Daoud, Yannick Haenel, Michel Houellebecq et Lydie Salvayre. Leurs œuvres contiennent nombre de réflexions sur des thèmes tels que la liberté, le choix, l'angoisse, la responsabilité, l'absurde et la révolte. Ces questions étaient au cœur des réflexions et des œuvres des existentialistes (en particulier de J.-P. Sartre, de S. de Beauvoir et de A. Camus). Malgré les nombreux changements intervenus dans les sphères politiques et sociales ainsi que le développement de nouveaux courants scientifiques et méthodologies de recherche, leurs pensées et postulats restent d'actualité. L'objectif de la présente thèse est d'effectuer une analyse des romans choisis d'auteurs contemporains sous l'angle des thèmes et motifs existentialistes qui y sont présents, témoignant ainsi de la vitalité de l'existentialisme.
