Tematem pracy jest rola kobiet w wojsku na przestrzeni dziejów – od starożytności do czasów współczesnych. Analizowane są zmiany społeczne, prawne i kulturowe wpływające na postrzeganie i udział kobiet w siłach zbrojnych. Szczególną uwagę zwrócono na historyczne punkty zwrotne i wpływ polityki równości płci. Przedstawiono zarówno profile wybitnych kobiet żołnierzy, jak i ograniczenia systemowe, z jakimi borykają się kobiety w różnych krajach. Praca opiera się na analizie porównawczej, dokumentach źródłowych i aktach prawnych, a także uwzględnia przypadek Polski. Jako całość uchwycono ewolucję roli kobiet w wojsku i wskazano kierunki przyszłych zmian.

The subject of the work is the role of women in the military throughout history - from antiquity to modern times. Social, legal and cultural changes affecting the perception and participation of women in the armed forces are analyzed. Special attention is paid to historical turning points and the impact of gender equality policies. Both profiles of prominent women soldiers and systemic constraints faced by women in different countries are presented. The work is based on comparative analysis, source documents and legal acts, and also takes into account the case of Poland. As a whole, it captures the evolution of the role of women in the military and points to the directions of future changes.
