Zerlegte Realität: Metaphorik in Herta Müllers Roman „Der Fuchs war damals schon der Jäger“ und dessen Übersetzung ins Polnische

Celem pracy jest dokładne zbadanie metaforyki w powieści Herty Müller „Der Fuchs war damals schon der Jäger”, przetłumaczonej na język polski przez Alicję Rosenau jako „Lis już wtedy był myśliwym”. Autorka pracy zwraca uwagę zwłaszcza na tę cechę tekstu, którą nazywa „rozczłonkowaniem” („Zerlegung”) i którą interpretuje jako wyraz lęku i rozpadu tożsamości bohaterów. Poszczególne aspekty tekstu są analizowane w kontekście całej powieści i zgodnie z przyjętą przez autorkę szeroką definicją metafory w dziele literackim. W pierwszym rozdziale autorka opisuje różne definicje i teorie związane z metaforą, co służy dokładniejszemu określeniu zakresu analizy w pracy oraz uzasadnieniu przyjętej perspektywy badawczej. W drugim rozdziale zostaje zarysowana biografia Herty Müller, która zdaniem autorki pracy jest dla czytelnika istotnym kontekstem do interpretacji powieści. Kolejny rozdział zawiera analizę struktury, środków stylistycznych, charakterystyki bohaterów i fabuły powieści w podziale na dwie katagorie: „Zerlegung” i „Vernetzung”, wyróżnione w oparciu o cel i działanie środków zastosowanych przez Hertę Müller. Przedostatni rozdział pracy koncentruje się na analizie polskiego tłumaczenia powieści, dzięki której autorka szerzej ilustruje metaforykę w powieści Müller i jej funkcjonowanie w polskim tekście. Przeprowadzona analiza metaforyki w tej powieści ma na celu ukazanie wielości składających się na nią elementów oraz ich nieodłącznego znaczenia dla interpretacji tekstu.

The aim of the dissertation is to closely analyze the metaphors in Herta Müller’s novel Der Fuchs war damals schon der Jäger, which has been translated into Polish by Alicja Rosenau as Lis już wtedy był myśliwym. The author of the thesis pays particular attention to that feature of the novel which she refers to as dismemberment (Zerlegung) and which she interprets as a means of conveying the characters’ fear and disintegrating identity. The individual aspects of the text are analyzed in the context of the entire novel and in accordance with the wide definition of the literary metaphor adopted by the author. In the first chapter, the author describes various definitions and theories related to the metaphor, which serves to further establish the extent of the undertaken analysis and to justify the adopted research perspective. The second chapter outlines Herta Müller’s biography, which provides significant context for interpreting the novel. The following chapter contains the analysis of the novel’s structure, figures of speech, characters and plot separated into two categories: Zerlegung and Vernetzung, distinguished based on their assumed goal and effect. The dissertation’s penultimate chapter concentrates on the analysis of the novel’s Polish translation, through which the author further illustrates the original work’s figurative elements, as well as the way they function in the Polish text. The undertaken analysis of the novel's metaphorical elements aims to demonstrate their multitude and their central role in interpreting the novel.

Das Ziel der Arbeit ist die Metaphorik in Herta Müllers Roman „Der Fuchs war damals schon der Jäger“, ins Polnische als „Lis już wtedy był myśliwym“ von Alicja Rosenau übersetzt, genau zu analysieren. Die Autorin beschäftigt sich vor allem mit dieser Eigenschaft des Textes, die sie die „Zerlegung“ nennt und als ein Ausdruck von Angst und Identitätszerfall der Figuren interpretiert. Die einzelnen Aspekte des Textes werden im Kontext des ganzen Romans analy-siert und in Einklang mit der weiten Definition der Metapher in literarischen Werken, die die Autorin angenommen hat. Im ersten Kapitel beschreibt die Autorin verschiedene mit der Metapher verbundene Definitionen und Theorien, um den Bereich der Analyse genauer zu bestimmen und den angenommenen Theorieansatz zu begründen. Im zweiten Kapitel wird die Biographie Müllers dargestellt, die dem Leser einen nützlichen Kontext für die Interpretation des Romans bietet. Das nächste Kapitel besteht aus der Analyse der Struktur, rhetorischen Stilmittel, Figuren und Handlung des Romans, deren Elemente in zwei Unterkapiteln geteilt wurden: „Zerlegung“ und „Vernetzung“, aufgrund ihres Ziels und ihrer Auswirkung im Text. Das vorletzte Kapitel konzentriert sich auf die Analyse der polnischen Übersetzung, wodurch sowohl die originale Metaphorik als auch ihre Wirkung im polnischen Text weiter beschrieben wird. Das Ziel der durchgeführten Analyse der Metaphorik ist, deren Reichtum und untrenn-bare Bedeutung für die Interpretation des Romans darzustellen.
