Białoruski Teatr Narodowy im. J. Kupały: 1991-2008. Twórcy, repertuar i misja

The text titled „Belarusian National Theater: 1991–2008. Stage directors, repertoire, mission” shows the activities of the Belarusian National Theater in 1991–2008. It was a period when Valery Raeūsky became the artistic di- rector of the theatre. The problem of choosing a repertoire was discussed in the paper. As the facts show, the theater had two preferences: works of Belarusian dramaturgy and works of world classics. The mission of the theater, ac- cording to Raeūsky, was to educate a new audience generation, involved in Belarusian question, and on the other hand — demonstration of the best examples of world drama.
