With the development of globalization, the geographical advantages and strategic significance of the Asia Pacific region are gradually becoming prominent. Against the backdrop of competition between China and the United States, China and the United States have also pursued interests in the Asia Pacific region. In the process of pursuing interests, the United States has stabilized its position in the Asia Pacific region through military alliances, economic agreements, and other means. China has strengthened its position in the Asia Pacific region by establishing friendly cooperative relations with Southeast Asian countries and conducting multilateral cooperation. This article compares the differences in diplomatic strategies between China and the United States in the Asia Pacific region, further analyzing the internal and external factors that led to such diplomatic strategies between China and the United States, and delving deeper into why the two countries formed vastly different diplomatic approaches, as well as the solutions to peaceful coexistence between China and the United States in the Asia Pacific region. This article is completed by studying academic articles, official documents from the Chinese and American governments, ministerial statements, and other documents on China US diplomatic strategies in the Asia Pacific region.
