Vida de las mujeres nobles españolas del siglo XVIII en contexto de la Ilustración

Tematem pracy jest życie kobiet z klasy wyższej w Hiszpanii w kontekście oświecenia i okresu zmian w XVIII wieku. Praca miała na celu ukazanie realiów życia kobiety z warstwy uprzywilejowanej i jej roli w społeczeństwie w ówczesnej epoce, odwołując się do kontekstu historycznego. Zostały przeanalizowane ważne obszary w życiu kobiety, takie jak, rodzina, w szczególności małżeństwo i macierzyństwo, kwestia edukacji kobiet i ich udział w życiu społecznym czy politycznym. Co więcej, tekst przybliżył dyskusje prowadzone na temat kobiet w literaturze, zarówno Hiszpanii, jak i Europy, wśród których szczególnie zasłynęła praca Feijoo, a także poświęca uwagę zasługom kobiet, takich jak Josefa Amar y Borbón, w świecie literackim i nie tylko. Na podstawie przedstawionej analizy i przywołanych źródeł, ukazany został obraz kobiety XVIII w., której rola była ograniczana przez społeczeństwo i sprowadzana do sfery domowej. Jednakże pokazane zostało też to, że w czasie oświecenia pojawiały się głosy, stające w obronie kobiet, co stanowiło początek zmian w dyskusji nad kwestią kobiet.

The subject of the work is the life of upper-class Spanish women in the context of the Enlightenment and the period of change in the 18th century. The aim was to show the realities of the life of a woman from the privileged class and her role in the society in that era, referring to the historical context. Important areas of a woman’s life were analyzed, such as family life, especially marriage and motherhood, the question of women’s education and their participation in social and political life. Moreover, the work explored the debate about women in literature, both in Spain and in Europe, among which work of Feijoo was notable, as well as the contributions made by women, such as Josefa Amar y Borbón, in the literary world and beyond. Based on the presented analysis and the sources, an image of the 18th-century woman was shown, whose role was limited to the domestic sphere by society. However, it was also demonstrated that during the Enlightenment there were voices speaking up in defense of women, which was the beginning of change in the discussion about the question of women.

El tema del trabajo es la vida de las mujeres españolas de clase alta en contexto de la Ilustración y el período de cambios del siglo XVIII. La obra tuvo como objetivo mostrar las realidades de la vida de una mujer de clase privilegiada y su papel en la sociedad en esa época, haciendo referencia al contexto histórico. Se han analizado áreas importantes en la vida de una mujer, como la familia, especialmente el matrimonio y la maternidad, la cuestión de la educación femenina y su participación en la vida social y política. Además, el texto exploró debates sobre las mujeres en la literatura, tanto en España como en Europa, entre los que ha destacado especialmente la obra de Feijoo, y también dedicó atención a las aportaciones de mujeres, como Josefa Amar y Borbón, no solo en el mundo literario. A partir del análisis presentado y las fuentes citadas, se mostró la imagen de la mujer del siglo XVIII, cuyo rol estaba limitado por la sociedad y reducido al ámbito doméstico. Sin embargo, también se demostró que surgieron voces durante la Ilustración en defensa de las mujeres, lo que constituyó el inicio de los cambios en la discusión sobre la cuestión femenina.
