Técnicas y estrategias de traducción del lenguaje LGTBIQ+ del español al polaco a base de la película Todo sobre mi madre de Pedro Almodóvar

Niniejsza praca licencjacka jest poświęcona analizie strategii i technik przekładu audiowizualnego zastosowanych w polskiej wersji językowej filmu Wszystko o mojej matce (1999) w reżyserii Pedro Almodóvara. Głównym celem badawczym jest ocena sposobu transferu specyficznego socjolektu LGTBIQ+, estetyki camp oraz transgresywnego języka reżysera na grunt języka i kultury polskiej. W części teoretycznej przybliżono specyfikę tłumaczenia filmowego, ze szczególnym uwzględnieniem techniki napisów, a także zdefiniowano pojęcie socjolektu jako wyznacznika tożsamości grupowej. Podstawę metodologiczną analizy stanowi klasyfikacja technik tłumaczeniowych Amparo Hurtado Albir (2001). Część praktyczna pracy opiera się na analizie opisowo-porównawczej korpusu dialogów zestawionych w tabelach. Badaniu poddano profile lingwistyczne głównych bohaterek, aby sprawdzić, jak ich tożsamość jest konstruowana poprzez słowo. Wnioski z analizy wskazują, że polskie tłumaczenie sprzed 25 lat wykazuje silną tendencję do neutralizacji i redukcji. Prowadzi to do osłabienia oryginalnej „transgresji lingwistycznej”, czyli subwersywnej siły tekstu, zwłaszcza w obszarze kategorii rodzaju gramatycznego postaci transpłciowych oraz wulgarnej, lecz afektywnej leksyki.

This Bachelor’s thesis is dedicated to the analysis of the audiovisual translation strategies and techniques applied in the Polish version of the film All About My Mother (1999), directed by Pedro Almodóvar. The primary research objective is to evaluate the manner of transferring the specific LGBTQ+ sociolect, the camp aesthetic, and the director's transgressive language into the Polish linguistic and cultural landscape. The theoretical framework introduces the specific nature of film translation, with a particular emphasis on subtitling, and defines the concept of sociolect as a marker of group identity. The methodological basis for the analysis is provided by Amparo Hurtado Albir’s (2001) classification of translation techniques. The practical part of the study relies on a descriptive and comparative analysis of a corpus of dialogues compiled in tables. The linguistic profiles of the main female characters are examined to determine how their identities are constructed through the word. The findings of the analysis indicate that the Polish translation, produced 25 years ago, shows a strong tendency toward neutralization and reduction. This leads to the attenuation of the original linguistic transgression, meaning the subversive power of the text, particularly within the categories of grammatical gender for transgender characters and the vulgar yet affective lexicon.

La presente tesina de licenciatura está dedicada al análisis de las estrategias y técnicas de traducción audiovisual aplicadas en la versión polaca de la película Todo sobre mi madre (1999), dirigida por Pedro Almodóvar. El objetivo principal de la investigación es evaluar el modo de transferencia del sociolecto específico LGTBIQ+, la estética camp y el lenguaje transgresor del director al ecosistema lingüístico y cultural polaco. En la parte teórica se introduce la especificidad de la traducción cinematográfica, con especial énfasis en la técnica del subtitulado, y se define el concepto de sociolecto como un indicador de identidad grupal. El marco metodológico del análisis se basa en la clasificación de las técnicas de traducción de Amparo Hurtado Albir (2001). La parte práctica del trabajo se fundamenta en un análisis descriptivo y comparativo del corpus de diálogos recopilados en tablas. Se examinan los perfiles lingüísticos de las protagonistas para comprobar cómo se construye su identidad a través de la palabra. Las conclusiones del análisis indican que la traducción polaca, realizada hace 25 años, muestra una fuerte tendencia hacia la neutralización y la reducción. Esto conduce a la atenuación de la transgresión lingüística original, es decir, de la fuerza subversiva del texto, especialmente en el ámbito de las categorías de género gramatical de los personajes trans y en el léxico vulgar pero afectivo.
