Poniższa praca „Stany Zjednoczone Ameryki wobec konfliktu izraelsko – palestyńskiego po atakach z 11 września 2001 r.” podejmuje zagadnienie najdłuższego konfliktu na Bliskim Wschodzie, a także wpływu światowego mocarstwa na jego przebieg oraz na proces pokojowy. Na wybór tematyki wpływ miała głównie złożoność poruszanej problematyki, nakładających się na siebie uwarunkowań, które nie pozwalają osiągnąć pokojowego porozumienia, a także wpływ Stanów Zjednoczonych Ameryki. W pracy zostały postawione następujące hipotezy badawcze: Bliższe relacje USA z Izraelem zapobiegają izraelskim eskalacjom i błędom oraz zmuszają stronę palestyńską do łagodzenia swojego stanowiska; Interesy Izraela zawsze stanowiły cel nadrzędny dla USA względem interesu palestyńskiego, co wynikało z uprzywilejowanej pozycji Izraela w polityce zagranicznej USA; Działalność organizacji terrorystycznych wpływa negatywnie na pokojowe zakończenie konfliktu. Wszystkie powyższe hipotezy zostały potwierdzone, gdyż bliższe relacje USA i Izraela skłaniały strony do wypracowywania kompromisu, a strona palestyńska odbierając pozytywne sygnały kierowała się ku pokojowym rozwiązaniom. Kolejno, Izrael jest kluczowym sojusznikiem na Bliskim Wschodzie, dlatego interesy tego państwa traktowane są priorytetowo. Działania terrorystyczne niejednokrotnie prowadziły do impasu w relacjach pomiędzy Izraelem, a Palestyną. Badania zostały przeprowadzone za pomocą analizy systemowej i porównawczej, zawiera również elementy metody behawioralnej oraz decyzyjnej. Do napisania pracy wykorzystana została literatura naukowa, publicystyczna, monografie oraz źródła internetowe.

The following thesis “The United States of America towards the Israeli-Palestinian conflict after the attacks of September 11, 2001” addresses the issue of the longest conflict in the Middle East, as well as the influence of the world power on its course and on the peace process. The choice of topics was influenced mainly by the complexity of the issues raised, overlapping conditions that do not allow to reach a peace agreement, as well as the influence of the United States of America. The following research hypotheses were put forward in the work: Closer US relations with Israel prevent Israeli escalations and mistakes and force the Palestinian side to soften its position; Israel’s interests have always been the overriding objective for the US over Palestinian interests, as a result of Israel’s privileged position in US foreign policy; The activities of terrorist organizations negatively affect the peaceful end of the conflict. All of the above hypotheses have been confirmed, as closer U. S. -Israeli relations prompted the parties to work out a compromise, and the Palestinian side received positive signals towards peaceful solutions. Israel is a key ally in the Middle East, so its interests are prioritized. Terrorist activities have often led to an impasse in relations between Israel and Palestine. The research was carried out by means of systemic and comparative analysis, it also contains elements of behavioral and decision-making methods. Scientific literature, journalism, monographs and Internet sources were used to write the work.
