Nazwy osób związanych z wojskowością w historii języka polskiego (na podstawie danych leksykograficznych)

Praca składa się z sześciu rozdziałów. W pierwszym zatytułowanym Wprowadzenie do badań przedstawiłam cel i przedmiot pracy oraz zastosowaną metodologię. Opisałam również bazę materiałową i źródła słownikowe, z których prowadziłam ekscerpcję. W tej części omówione zostały także zasady przygotowania listy nazw i sposób użycia definicji z wykorzystanych dzieł leksykograficznych. Pierwszy rozdział zawiera też skrót słowników, do których odwołuję się w ciągu pracy, oraz przedstawienie stanu badań nad nazewnictwem osób związanych z wojskowością. Kolejna część pracy, Klasyfikacja nazw ze względu na ich strukturę, jest poświęcona opisowi budowy jednostek podzielnych słowotwórczo i etymologii wyrazów niepodzielnych słowotwórczo, a odziedziczonych z prasłowiańszczyzny. W pierwszych akapitach przedstawiam zastosowane koncepcje badawcze, wprowadzone własne zmiany i rozstrzygnięcia metodologiczne. W dalszej kolejności omawiam typy derywatów prostych i złożonych odnotowanych w badanym słownictwie i wymieniam leksemy zaklasyfikowanych do poszczególnych grup. Przedstawiam również ich liczebność w wykorzystanych słownikach. W rozdziale zatytułowanym Zapożyczenia przedstawiam nazwy, które w analizowanym słownictwie zostały zaklasyfikowane jako pożyczki. Na wstępie tej części pracy przedstawiam zastosowane koncepcje badawcze, wprowadzone własne zmiany i rozstrzygnięcia metodologiczne. Kolejne podrozdziały poświęcone są poszczególnym typom zapożyczeń, które zidentyfikowałam w odnotowanych leksemach. Przy każdej wymienianej nazwie podaję definicję oraz źródło pożyczki (język, formę w tym języku i znaczenie). Analizuję również, ile zapożyczeń odnotowano w wykorzystanych słownikach i z jakich języków przejęto te pożyczki. Rozdział czwarty zatytułowany Derywaty semantyczne jest poświęcony omówieniu wyrazów, które powstały wskutek zmian znaczeniowych. Jego początkową część stanowi wprowadzenie metodologiczne oraz opis własnych zmian. W kolejnych podrozdziałach klasyfikuję nazwy będące derywatami semantycznymi i przedstawiam mechanizmy przekształceń znaczeniowych. Przedstawiam również ich liczebność w wykorzystanych słownikach. W rozdziale piątym, Analiza dynamiki rozwoju nazw, wymieniam leksemy, które po raz pierwszy lub po raz ostatni zostały odnotowane w kolejnych wykorzystanych dziełach leksykograficznych. Właściwą część materiałową poprzedziłam omówieniem zastosowanej metodologii. Następnie przedstawiłam nazwy nowe w stosunku do poprzednich wykorzystanych słowników oraz nazw nieodnotowane w kolejnych dziełach leksykograficznych. Zestawiam również każdą grupę tych jednostek pod względem ich pochodzenia oraz budowy w wypadku wyrazów rodzimych. Ostatnia część rozprawy zatytułowana Wnioski całkowite stanowi podsumowanie informacji, które nie zostały przedstawione we wcześniejszych rozdziałach. W dalszych akapitach przedstawiam inne ciekawe obserwacje dotyczące analizowanego słownictwa, lecz niebędące zasadniczym celem pracy. Praca zawiera również bibliografię oraz dwa aneksy. Indeks nazw zawiera wszystkie analizowane jednostki wraz z podaniem numerów stron, na których zostały przywołane, natomiast Poświadczenia analizowanych nazw w słownikach to wykaz badanego słownictwa wraz ze wskazaniem odnotowujących je prac leksykograficznych.

The doctoral thesis consists of six chapters. The first chapter, titled Introduction to the Research, presents the aim and subject of the study, as well as the applied methodology. It also describes the material base and the dictionary sources used for the excerpting process. This part also discusses the principles for preparing the list of names and the method of using definitions from the lexicographical works utilized. The first chapter also includes a list of the dictionaries referenced throughout the work, as well as an overview of the research on the nomenclature of individuals associated with the military. The next section of the work, Classification of Names Based on Their Structure, is dedicated to the description of the structure of morphologically divisible units and the etymology of indivisible words inherited from Proto-Slavic. In the opening paragraphs, I present the research concepts used, along with the changes and methodological decisions I have introduced. The following sections discuss the types of simple and compound derivatives recorded in the studied vocabulary, and list the lexemes classified into each group. Their frequency in the dictionaries used is also described. In the chapter titled Loanwords, I present the names classified as loans in the analyzed vocabulary. This part begins with a description of the applied research concepts, including my own changes and methodological decisions. Subsequent subsections are dedicated to specific types of loanwords identified in the recorded lexemes. For each listed name, I provide its definition and the source of the loan (language, form in that language, and meaning). I also analyze how many loanwords were recorded in the dictionaries used and from which languages these loans were adopted. The fourth chapter, titled Semantic Derivatives, is dedicated to words that resulted from semantic changes. Its initial part consists of a methodological introduction and a description of my own modifications. In the following subsections, I classify names that are semantic derivatives and describe the mechanisms of semantic transformations. I also present their frequency in the dictionaries used. In the fifth chapter, Analysis of the Dynamics of Name Development, lexemes that were first or last recorded in the subsequent lexicographical works used are listed. The material section is preceded by a discussion of the methodology applied. I then present new names in relation to the previous dictionaries used, as well as names not recorded in the subsequent lexicographical works. I also compare each group of these units in terms of their origin and structure in the case of native words. The last section of the dissertation, titled Overall Conclusions, summarizes information not presented in the previous chapters. In the following paragraphs, other interesting observations concerning the analyzed vocabulary is described, even though they are not the main objective of the study. The work also includes a bibliography and two appendices. The Index of Names contains all analyzed words along with the page numbers where they are cited, while Documentation of Analyzed Names in Dictionaries lists the studied vocabulary along with references to the lexicographical works that record them.
