Incontri, solitudini, fughe: il paradigma interculturale nella recente narrativa urbana polacca
Abstrakt (EN)
Since the early 1990s in the field of Polish literature, and prose in particular, literary critics have noticed a remarkable increase in texts closely related to specific spaces. Such space-related litera-ture soon became a real phenomenon, prominent in the work of authors debuting at the end of the 1980s, alongside the powerful return of fiction and invention in literature, previously domi-nated by the factual approach. The article focuses on urban space – intended more as theme than representation – as it is treated in the novels of some currently active Polish authors. The three perspectives that emerge from the analysis – those of meeting, solitude and escape – express the main points of view through which Polish writers face the difficult challenges of interculturality in a contemporary urban society.
