Traduction d’éléments culturels sélectionnés dans les doublages polonais et français de films d’animation choisis.

Niniejsza praca przedstawia temat tłumaczenia elementów kulturowych w polskim i francuskim dubbingu wybranych filmów animowanych. Celem pracy jest zaprezentowanie jakie strategie oraz techniki tłumaczeniowe zostały użyte przez tłumaczy zarówno wersji polskiej, jak i francuskiej oraz jakie tendencje możemy w nich zaobserwować. W części teoretycznej analizujemy samo pojęcie kultury oraz jej elementów, omawiamy założenia Venutiego na temat strategii udomowienia oraz egzotyzacji, a także przyjmujemy podział technik tłumaczeniowych zaproponowany przez Vinay’a i Darbelneta. Następnie zajmujemy się specyfiką skomplikowanego procesu tłumaczenia audiowizualnego, jakim jest dubbing. W części analitycznej omawiamy konkretne przykłady tłumaczenia elementów kulturowych pod względem zastosowanych technik i przyjętych strategii, obserwujemy jakie tendencje występują w tłumaczeniach, dążenie do udomowienia czy może egzotyzacji.

This paper deals with the translation of cultural elements in the Polish and French dubbing of a selection of animated films. The aim is to present the translation strategies and techniques used by the translators of the Polish and French versions, and the tendencies that can be observed in these translations. In the theoretical part, we analyze the notion of culture and its elements, discuss Venuti's postulates on domestication and exoticization strategies, and adopt the division of translation techniques proposed by Vinay and Darbelnet. We then turn to the specificities of the complex audiovisual translation process of dubbing. In the analytical section, we discuss specific examples of translation of cultural elements in terms of the techniques used and strategies adopted, and observe the trends occurring in translation, developing towards domestication or perhaps exoticization.

Ce mémoire présente le sujet de la traduction des éléments culturels dans les doublages polonais et français d'une sélection de films animés. L’objectif est de présenter les stratégies et techniques de traduction utilisées par les traducteurs des versions polonaise et française et les tendances que l’on peut observer dans ces traductions. Dans la partie théorique, nous analysons la notion même de culture et ses éléments, discutons les postulats de Venuti sur les stratégies de domestication et d’exotisation, et adoptons la division des techniques de traduction proposée par Vinay et Darbelnet. Nous abordons ensuite les spécificités du processus complexe de traduction audiovisuelle qu’est le doublage. Dans la partie analytique, nous discutons d’exemples spécifiques de traduction d’éléments culturels en termes de techniques utilisées et de stratégies adoptées, et nous observons les tendances qui se produisent dans la traduction, le développement vers la domestication ou peut-être l’exotisation.
