Auf der Suche nach sich selbst - Protagonistinnen des Romans Freundinnen von Maximiliane Ackers als nicht-heteronormative Figuren

Celem niniejszej pracy jest analiza powieści Die Freundinnen (1923) autorstwa Maximiliane Ackers jako kreatywnego zderzenia z problematyką nieheteronormatywności w kontekście dyskursu płci i seksualności dominującego w Niemczech podczas tzw. złotych lat dwudziestych. Szczególny nacisk położono przy tym na odniesienia do aspektów i mechanizmów psychologicznych, które są widoczne również współcześnie i stanowią przedmiot badań psychologów. Udowodniono tym samym, że powieść Ackers może być interpretowana jako kulturowo-historyczny dokument, stanowiący zarazem literacki, artystyczny zapis strategii stosowanych przez osoby nieheteronormatywne w budowaniu swojej tożsamości na różnych poziomach.

This thesis analyses Maximiliane Ackers's 1923 novel Die Freundinnen as a creative response to the issue of non-heteronormativity within the gender and sexuality discourse that was prevalent in Germany during the so-called 'Golden Twenties'. Particular emphasis is placed on references to psychological aspects and mechanisms that are still evident today and are the subject of psychological research. The analysis demonstrates that Ackers's novel can be interpreted not only as a cultural and historical document but also as a literary and artistic record of the strategies employed by non-heteronormative individuals in constructing their identities at various levels.

Die vorliegende Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit der Analyse des Romans Die Freundinnen (1923) von Maximiliane Ackers. Der Text wird als kreative Auseinandersetzung mit dem Thema der Nicht-Heteronormativität im Kontext des dominierenden Diskurses über Geschlecht und Sexualität im Deutschland der Goldenen Zwanziger betrachtet. Dabei wird besonderer Wert auf psychologische Aspekte und Mechanismen gelegt, die auch heute noch relevant sind und Gegenstand psychologischer Forschung darstellen. Die Arbeit zeigt, dass sich der Roman als kulturgeschichtliches Dokument interpretieren lässt, das zugleich ein literarisch-künstlerisches Zeugnis der Strategien ist, welche nicht-heteronormative Menschen bei der Konstruktion ihrer Identität auf verschiedenen Ebenen anwenden.
